Video Card Fan

Post by amantonas on Sat Nov 22, 2008 6:45 pm

Ok, so I got GH3 PC a while ago with an ATI hypermemory 256mb video card. Which was really pretty much 128mb. But anyway, it lagged like shit. So I got a new one, a pretty good one actually. Its a diamond radeon HD 2600PRO SB edition 512mb card.I really like it, but the problem is the fan. When I first got it, it was quiet. But then, the computer suddenly started turning off whenever I used the graphics card heavily about a month later. I realized later that this was because the fan was not spinning. So I pulled the actual fan (like the blades)up and it started working. But from then on, it kept on doing that, and I would either have to push it down (the fan blades) or lift them up. And today, the computer shut down, so I opened the case, and I spent one hour trying to get it to a good spot, and I could only get it to where it actually spun, but it was loud as all hell. So I left the case open all day, in hopes that the fan would return to it's normal state, which it hasn't (yet) has anyone experienced this problem before?

Hmmm...I've never even heard of anything like that before. GH3 for PC was a horrible port anyway...
